Oslo Kayak Club (OKK) invites you to the Oslo Surfski Challenge on the 7th October 2012.
It is a 17 km downwind race in the open sea. It’s challenge to all surfski paddlers, racing paddlers and sea kayakers. Besides a great surfski race it will also be social activities at the finish.

PFD is mandatory
All participants must master surfski remounting techinques prior the race
All participants must have a leash
All participants must have a cell phone in waterproof bag or VHF
All particpants must assist other paddlers in distress
All participants must be dressed to avoid dangerous hypothermia in the event of capsizing / accident
Participants are encouraged to bring Flares
Participants that cancel the race must notify the organizers immediately
Participants are encouraged to dress in high visibility color.
Safety boats will patrol the race course

Please, make your registration before 12-10-04 to post@okk.org due to planning the logistics. Informationen needed: name, age and sex. Late registration on race day will also be possible.
Race Course Description
Start on the beach at Sjøstrand in Bjerkås (Asker), admission by OKK.
Directions will be explained prior the start at the skippers meeting.
Race course may be reveresed due to northerly winds.
It will be organized surfski transportation from OKK to Sjøstrand before the race (aswell as transportation back to Sjøstrand after the race to collect cars)
