Bush Wind

I love to see new paddling videos. Richard “Chopper” von Wildemann from South Africa has done his first paddling video from a downwind last year. It was shot with a GoPro using a mouth mount made from wine corks tied together with duct tape!

“Legendary downwind paddle from Noordhoek to Bushy Park in all time conditions on the Wild side of Port Elizabeth – South Africa. Warm water, Great Runs + Good People = One Helluva Awesome Time”

At the end of 2013 a group of four double ski’s enjoyed the best Easterly runs of the year on a 22 km stretch of coastline just outside Port Elizabeth South Africa. The title Bush Wind was chosen because the route ends at the private beach farm of Bushy Park. It’s a magnificent coastal reserve where Bush Buck and other game can be seen driving the dirt track out. All this just 15 minutes from a city with a population of 1.5 million. As you can see the paddle was enjoyed by all. Hoping for more in 2014. //Chopper
